What did we learn in June, 2022 ?

Our theme for June and July - storytelling .

There are many ways to connect with your audience and repurposing your materials and stories, you have the opportunity to create deeper connection and unlock your business potential.

YTM Lunch and Learns are Awesome!

At the June Lunch and Learn, we heard from Sally A Curtis about Content Re-purposing and how to Turn Existing Content into New Profits

Sally explained that we all have no less than 2 years’ worth of content right under our nose that is very capable of re purposing without having to write or invent new content.

Yes: 2 years’ worth. Could be an e book, past blogs, articles, quotes….all- valuable for promoting your Brand or for education of your audience.

A key takeaway for me was Sally reminding us of how difficult it is to see what’s on your label from inside your Jar. So make sure your content is relatable to your audience, you know the ones you seek to influence.

YTM members can access the recording of this Lunch and Learn , (and other online events we have held), in the YTM member portal and discover where your gold content already lies and how to re purpose and schedule your educational and brand content.

Evening In Person event “ why storytelling matters in business “

At our June live event at Hotel Brighton, Sandy McDonald - The Story Whisperer talked about how Story plays an integral part in your brand, delivery, and reach.

Sandy spoke about, “If you can’t tell your story, you won't attract those who need your services & would love to support what you’re doing—your potential followers, clients, partners and investors. Storytelling informs your most powerful communication, because it runs deep - it educates, resonates and it sticks. Humans NEED to hear stories and share stories”.

Starting point- know your people and be sure your story matches their needs so they embrace your value.

The elements of a good story are:

  • Purpose

  • Context

  • Spark

  • Journey

  • Realization

  • Revelation

  • Conclusion
