Running a business can be lonely and having conversations with others in the same situation helps you to  build relationships, build trust and build your business.

Join us for Dinner and Meet Sara Sham's - a START foundation Grant recipient as she shares her story and experience and talks with Serpil Senelmis, Director of Written and Recorded.

START foundation empowers amputees in life through sport. START awarded a grant to Sara so she could purchase two running blades and strive to achieve her sporting dream. Sara’s sporting dream is to participate in this year’s Bridge to Brisbane 5km run and one day she hopes to run in the 14km Sydney City to Surf event.

YTM is proud to be a financial supporter of the START foundation .

Sara was born with a rare congenital anomaly, known as tibial hemimelia, where the tibia and tibial side of the foot were entirely absent in both limbs. Both her fibula were present, however not weight bearing and thus not really useful.

Encouraged and supported by her family and friends, she was confidently walking on above knee prosthesis (without any aids) by the time she reached high school. Her prosthesis had given her the chance to lead a normal and happy life. However, they have limited her ability to participate in some physical activities and it’s been a challenge to maintain and improve her fitness on her everyday legs.

Employed in a Learning and Development role in Brisbane, Sara has a personal and professional understanding of how collaboration and teamwork are essential skills that are paramount to achieving your goals.

Kerryn’s events are exceptional. I’ve been to a number of networking events over the years and why I like YTM is because you really do get to meet and connect with other people and build relationships, which I love. Its not at all transactional and you can meet a group of people who are all looking to grow their business and themselves, and the potential to create referral is excellent. The formats vary each even between a number of different styles meaning the personal learning is there as well.”- L.Ayers

”YTM events always run like clockwork. I have found them to be extremely beneficial… I have made some amazing connections not only with people who have booked in for my organising services, but also with some fantastic and professional people to affiliate my business with. I’ve even made some good friends. Highly recommended!”- Sue Glasser - PaperClip Professional Organisers
