ONLINE YTM Collaborate & Connect: How to use collaboration to create a larger impact

What is your definition and experience of “collaboration”?  Is it different to a partnership or referral?  Are you missing opportunities in your reach?  What benefit would there be for you to collaborate with others, rather than merely being a recipient of a referral or become a  partner?  This will form the basis of our business networking conversation at this event.

YTM Collaborate and Connect events allow for engaging interaction through a facilitated format that  provides opportunity to learn from others, bounce ideas around and gain feedback on your ideas and connect with like minded others who face or have experienced similar challenges in their business.

Insight:  -How collaboration can help your business

Description:

Can you articulate the differences between collaboration, partnership and referral?

How do these apply to your business?

Collaboration is a word we often hear and is talked about, but it seems to be a term that can mean different things to different people.

The Oxford Dictionary defines collaboration as a noun  - “the act of working with another person or group of people to create or produce something” , while the Cambridge dictionary defines “collaborate” as a verb …. “to work with someone else for a special purpose:

Two writers collaborated on the script for the film.

German company collaborated with a Swiss firm to develop the product.”

In this session, you will learn:

·        What is collaboration

·        How and why collaborations are beneficial

·        Hear stories of collaboration

·        How to identify  opportunities

·        Traps to avoid

·        Difference between collaboration ,  referral and partnerships

You will have the opportunity to reflect and review how collaboration can be used effectively in your business and have the chance to share, explore and identify new avenues for possible growth:

·        Discuss ways in which YTM as a community could collaborate with the common goal being growth

·        How individuals can connect with collaborators to expand your impact and uncover opportunities

Who is this event for?

  • Business owners and professionals who have an open and collaborative approach and willingly recognise the value in and benefit gained from shared experience with others facing similar scenarios.

  • Business owners and professionals wanting to learn and grow as they connect with others to build a sustainable network as they benefit by re-framing experience.

As a business owner, you need connections, knowledge and support.

This month:

Learn  how to enjoy having a smooth running business, that you can step out of, whenever you need to.

INSIGHT: Kick Start Systemising Your Business In 3 Simple Steps

Learn  how to enjoy having a smooth running business, that you can step out of, whenever you need to.

•    Understand the 4 phases of business systemisation and how to progress to having a smooth running business, that you can step out of when you need a break.

•    Pinpoint the best place to get started in systemising your business, so you are no longer overwhelmed and have a simple and productive starting point.

•    Unpack a simple framework for documenting your business processes and turning them into valuable business systems.

This month’s insight will have you getting started systemising, by identifying the best place to start building your business systems and documentation.

A good system makes a business thrive, says Nomiki.

Many times business owners begin with the best intentions…  then fail, because they either they start in the wrong place, or they think they need to document everything in their business at once.

It’s simply not true.

Knowing the best place to start… is the key to success, as is understanding that the best use of your time, is to document the most critical and most leveraged business processes.

Format

Our structured, online format, encourages participants to make the most of their  time with open networking on arrival, followed by facilitation that encourages connection and open, real discussion.

In break out rooms, there will be time to discuss the differences you have  experienced and the lessons you have learned about referral and collaborative  relationships.   By giving examples of a good referral for you, and a good collaboration, you and others will benefit from shared knowledge.

 Our presenter:

Nomiki Georgiadis, Business To Business Buzz Pty Ltd

Nomiki values building marketing assets and business systems for service professionals in business.

Her journey shaped her approach to marketing, systems and business.

nomki.jpg

As a research scientist in biological sciences at The University Of Melbourne… in the late 1980’s to early 1990’s… Nomiki experienced hands on, what it means to test, experiment and measure results… in order to progress the work and extract meaning from data.

This strongly influenced her approach to marketing… Adding science into the marketing equation. Testing and measuring is an important part of what you do… and understanding that seeing the effects of some of your marketing strategies, can take time.

Switching careers… in her first year of moving into sales with Roche Products, she made the company over $1 Million in revenue, from mastering the art of conversational and value added selling.

Nomiki studied my Masters Of Marketing part time, at Melbourne Business School, during her years in Pharmaceutical Sales.

Fast forward a handful of years when she became a mum to 2 sons… and sought to solve a problem and market need in the late 1990’s, by starting her ‘Natural Skin Care Products For Babies’ business.

The lessons Nomiki uncovered were… match a market need, with your solutions.

Fast forward again… to where Nomiki wanted to to fulfil her dream of running her own Marketing Consulting Business, to help other business owners with their marketing… and so Business To Business Buzz was born.

The format of the session will utilise breakout rooms where you will have some thought provoking interaction with business owners and professionals just like you to compare experiences, bounce ideas around .
